Finding an independent speech and language therapist, outside the NHS can feel daunting.
Mary wants to make this process as straightforward and stress-free for you, as possible.
Mary’s initial assessment was gentle but thorough. She was deeply compassionate in a time that was very challenging for our whole family… Mary has been a great source of strength, and her therapy proceeded smoothly while actually being joyful.
Victoria and Declan, Client and husband, 2017
Mary has worked across three different NHS trusts (Lincolnshire, East Surrey), most recently for St George’s University Hospitals in 2023. Mary values the work of the NHS, whilst recognising the pressures inherent in the system. Mary often provides short term therapy for people who have been discharged from hospital but on the waiting list inpatient or community rehabilitation. This facilitates continuity of care and you can be reassured that Mary will both seek handover from hospital and provide it to rehabilitation at points of transition.
Mary will happily hand over to NHS therapist as soon as FREE NHS therapy is available.
Sometimes, it is desirable for independent therapy and NHS therapy to run simultaneously. Mary will work with NHS therapists to provide the intervention that each individual needs. To find out how Mary will work with you, click here.
Mary’s work gave V the chance to communicate with people and to get his confidence back, which he had lost after his stroke. I cannot thank her enough for bringing V back to us.
